League Rules
In a bloody revolution, Gav has seized control of the League, declaring himself Dictator for Life.
The League is to be contested under the Living Rule Book revision 5, with the 2007/2008 rules review.
There are no set fixtures, it's pick up and play. To counterbalance this, there will be many end of season awards based upon average performance, not total.
The following optional rules are now in play:
- Awarding the MVP
One player from each team, selected by their coach, is awarded the MVP award at the end of the match. - Special Play Cards
Cards are available to buy as Inducements for League and Cup play. Inducement money only, you can't buy cards with team savings. - Mercenaries and Star Players
Nope, it's team against team, not a superstar shootout. Journeymen are still in for understrength teams. - Trading Players
Player trades can be carried out during the transfer period in the first two weeks of a Season, with a maximum of 3 foreign players per team. Each additional foreign players after the first causes a -1 FF. You cannot use this to go over your allowance of positional players, if the player fills a position you don't have available normally, you can take one. - Cups
Any team that has played in a Season can compete for the Major. Any team can enter a Minor. The brackets for the Majors are seeded highest against lowest based on league positions. Minor's are random draw. - League Points
Points are awarded at 5 for a Win, 3 for a Draw and 1 for a Loss. - Spiralling Expenses
Using the Premiership level costs, starting at team rating 250 and going up in steps of 25.
